When installed, the Toyota spin-on adapters are torqued to 40 ft. lbs. and bear metal to metal contact. No thread locker is needed.

We have tested adapters compared to the original oil filter configuration and found no difference in oil pressure/flow across all RPM ranges and loads. The Pentastar engine contains a dual displacement pump and switches to large displacement for hard acceleration or high load demands.

At this time, we do not have a tentative date set for the Chevy 3.6L. We are aware there are multiple engines in need of our parts, and we are diligently working on trying to address those needs as rapidly as possible. No, our adapter does not void your warranty, unless your warranty specifically prohibits the use of aftermarket components.

No, we utilize only Viton O-rings on our adapters and will last the lifetime or the installation.

Yes, Toyota does not have an anti-drain back valve contained in their cartridge oil filter system. The cartridge oil filter remains full of oil, however, no oil is retained post filtration when the engine is off.

This results in a delay of oil pressure at startup. Even Toyota spin-on oil filters contain an anti-drain back valve for this reason.

Troubleshooting

There is a vent profile in the skid plate that does not allow required clearance for the adapter and oil filter. A TRD or aftermarket skid plate will provide the necessary clearances. Using our Cartridge to Remote adapter is always an option, even with the stock skid plate.

Our TS-301-BK is the correct adapter for your vehicle. We also recommend using WIX 51516XP or Mobil1 M1-209A oil filters.

Yes, this is the adapter for you vehicle, and we recommend WIX 57045XP, Purolator PSL22500, MOBIL1 M1-212 or equivalent oil filter. No hood clearance issues.

Yes. Our TS-501-BK is the required fitment for your application. We would also recommend a WIX 51348XP or a Mobil1 M1-102A oil filter.

The adapters vary in diameter and different length docking collars for specific Toyota based engine applications.

We recommend WIX 51335 or NAPA Gold 1335 oil filters to maximize ground clearance. These filters are 3.5” in diameter but only 2.5” in length. Both filters contain silicone anti-drain back valves and more filter media than the stock cartridge oil filter.

For Toyota vehicles where ground clearance may be an issue, we recommend WIX 51335 or NAPA Gold 1335 oil filters.
