Please allow 48 hours for your order to be processed.

Do the O-rings on your adapters ever have to be replaced?

No, we utilize only Viton O-rings on our adapters and will last the lifetime or the installation.

Is there any advantage to using a Baxter Performance Toyota adapter other than convenience?

Yes, Toyota does not have an anti-drain back valve contained in their cartridge oil filter system. The cartridge oil filter remains full of oil, however, no oil is retained post filtration when the engine is off.

This results in a delay of oil pressure at startup. Even Toyota spin-on oil filters contain an anti-drain back valve for this reason.

Troubleshooting

Apply just engine oil to O-rings for lubrication.

Yes, installation instructions are available here.

Why will the Cartridge to Spin-On adapter not work on 4Runner or FJ Cruiser with the stock skid plate?

There is a vent profile in the skid plate that does not allow required clearance for the adapter and oil filter. A TRD or aftermarket skid plate will provide the necessary clearances. Using our Cartridge to Remote adapter is always an option, even with the stock skid plate.
